We are currently undertaking numerous projects within Mosul in order to restore safe and dignified shelter for IDPs, returnees and stayees.

With temperatures ranging from below zero in winter to above 50 degrees Celsius in summer, adequate shelter is essential for survival in a challenging climate. We provide basic repairs to family homes in Mosul, using local teams to distribute and assist with the installation of shelter kits. To date, our teams have distributed and installed more than 1,800 kits, providing protection from the elements and privacy for those residing or returning to their homes. In some areas, nearly all windows have been blown out and destroyed by shrapnel, bullets, or the shockwaves caused by explosions. These simple steps provide income to the laborers we employ in Mosul, while providing families with safe and dignified shelter that will better prepare them to deal with extreme temperatures and other elements.
